Recently their circumstances have changed and they find themselves in a small town where they make a living as a family-owned hamburger restaurant. It's been quite an adjustment from their previous lifestyle, but things are finally starting to make sense as they get used to it.After months of trial and error, the Flintstones finally begin their first day of service for this new job. As soon as the door opens, people started lining up outside for burgers and quickly filling up the waiting room that was tastefully decorated with all things modern and rustic. Fred is busy cooking burgers and Pebbles attempts to serve them while Barney watches how well she's doing from his office booth high above the dining area. There's a large, round clock on the wall that display important information about what time it is and the current queue. The customers receive a buzz from their table when it is their turn, and they can simply walk up to the counter to order. Somewhere in the restaurant there's a bug zapper that catches flies for months down the road, but small repairs somewhat prevent this from being a problem.At one point in time, Mr. Slate comes by with his family and orders a large number of burgers, but Pebbles accidentally destroys them when she trips over a vacuum cleaner while carrying so many burgers over to them at one time. Fred gets fed up with the equipment in the kitchen and chucks it all into the garbage. The kids are confused at first, but Fred reassures them by saying they'll just use their hands for this one.The family begins preparing burgers by pounding beef patties with large mallets, creating them on an assembly line. Pebbles is on place one, while her brother is on place two where he 'makes' buns with his bare hands. They both keep making patties while Mr. Slate watches the Flintstones improve greatly on their service. He is impressed and tells them what they're doing is more than just cooking, it's an art that takes time to perfect and will only get better with practice. As the day progresses, more and more people come in and the Flintstones get better at making burgers. It's all good until someone ruins a order of their 'special sauce' that they've been working on for days, but they don't mind because it was a good burger period. The next day, they're doing a lot better and eventually end up serving no less than two hundred people in a single day. To this day, everything is going great for them, but it doesn't last long since someone from outside comes by to present them with an award for being the best burger restaurant in town.Mr. Slate tells them to put on their best clothes because lots of important people are coming over today. When they arrive, the mayor from the small town is there as well as quite a few reporters. Mr. Slate introduces them one by one to the press whom compliment him on his family's delicious food and service. They decide to make a big announcement and make a big show of it, but before they can even finish speaking the name 'Flintstones' someone from behind them trips over a cactus and causes a scene that gets everyone laughing at how silly it is. Unfortunately, they're forced to do this, but they're really upset about ruining their big day because things could have been better if he hadn't done this.
